MELROSE, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A tornado with wind gusts reaching 95 mph slammed into Melrose, Minnesota, on Saturday night, causing significant damage. The tornado, which traveled a path approximately 4 miles long, impacted several farms and businesses in the city of Melrose, located in Stearns County.
Residents and city officials began assessing the damage on Sunday. According to Mayor Joe Finin, the tornado caused damage to Melrose’s Metal Works, Munson Feed, Metal Art, the Country Club, and some townhomes. A turkey barn and a storage building were completely destroyed. Despite the extensive property damage, no injuries were reported. The community is now focused on recovery and rebuilding efforts.
