Thief River Falls, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – On March 23 at 5:07 a.m., a police officer performed a traffic stop on the 1900 block of Hwy. 59 S.E. Timothy Alan Bergeron, 53, of Thief River Falls, was charged with felony first-degree DWI due to a prior felony conviction and gross misdemeanor driving after cancellation as inimical to public safety. He was arrested at the scene.
Bergeron exhibited signs of impairment from a controlled substance and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. A search warrant was obtained for a urine sample, which was sent to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension for analysis. The complaint noted that Bergeron’s driving privileges had been canceled as inimical to public safety. He had prior felony DWI convictions in March 2014 in Marshall County and August 2017 in Polk County.
