Thursday Morning Flood Watch for Red River at Grand Forks-EGF

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) A look at flooding conditions along the Red River and Grand Forks and East Grand Forks.
oh here’s the latest look at the Red River in greater Grand Forks on this Thursday morning this is from the East Grand Forks looking at Grand Forks in the background there uh latest reading just before 10 here it’s almost at 38 feet and expected to hit moderate flood stage of 40 feet tonight or tomorrow morning and as high as 43 feet this weekend that’s near the level of potential Bridge closings we’ll likely hear more about that alt later today meanwhile Greenway trails are closed as is the dog park over in Lincoln Park and Grand Forks that was closed as of yesterday and here in East Grand Forks a River Road below the highway to overpass is also closed so you need to find another route to downtown East Grand Forks on the east side and we’ll leave you with look at the Historical flood marker of 1997 the top of that marker there was the level of the 97 flood this year the forecast nothing close to that well within the existing dike system however the bikes as I said could cause the possibility of some Bridge closings we’ll keep you updated on that later today if anything happens I’m Neil Berg reporting for itrfnews.i234.me
