Three-Vehicle Crash on Hwy 210 in Sylvan Township Injures Two

Sylvan Township, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — A three-vehicle crash occurred on February 26, 2025, at 3:47 PM at the intersection of Highway 210 and 37th Avenue SW in Sylvan Township, Cass County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado pickup, driven by 71-year-old Patricia Jean Ferrian of Pillager, MN, was southbound on 37th Ave SW when it pulled out in front of an eastbound 2004 Mazda 6 Wagon. The impact caused the Silverado to then strike a 2020 Dodge Journey.

The driver of the Mazda 6 Wagon, 45-year-old Genesis Joy Fettig of Park Rapids, MN, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Lakewood Hospital in Staples.

A passenger in the Dodge Journey, 11-year-old Kaylee Jean Shamp of Pillager, MN, also suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was self-transported to the hospital by her parents.

All other occupants were uninjured, including the 15-year-old Dodge Journey driver, Keagan James Shamp, and the Silverado driver. Alcohol was not a factor, and all individuals were wearing seat belts.

Responding agencies included the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
