Franklin Township, Wright County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — On Monday, May 26, 2025, at approximately 5:03 p.m., a three-vehicle collision occurred on Highway 12 at Aetna Avenue in Franklin Township, Wright County. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2004 Lexus LS driven by 43-year-old Nathan Charles Smith of Overland Park, Kansas, was traveling eastbound on Highway 12 when it collided with a 1996 GMC pickup that was stopped to turn northbound onto Aetna Avenue. The impact caused the GMC pickup to collide with a westbound 2014 Ford F-150 driven by 48-year-old Tait James Zimba of Waverly, Minnesota.

Smith and Zimba sustained non-life-threatening injuries but were not transported to a hospital. The driver of the GMC pickup, a 35-year-old woman from Montrose, Minnesota, was uninjured. All drivers were wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash. Road conditions were dry at the time of the incident.

Responding agencies included the Wright County Sheriff’s Office, the Montrose Fire Department, and Rescue and Ambulance services.

I’m Chris Harper reporting for TRF News.
