breaking news out of lake of the woods minnesota on this uh thursday morning the coast guard out of duluth is expected on the scene uh to begin the uh search for three men believed to be from iowa who went missing in high winds and waves on lake of the woods around eight o’clock wednesday evening i got a boat taking on water at six miles from with rocky points three adult passengers they are not sure if they’re going to make it i have ed paul and chris armstrong enroute trying to meet up with them i just spoke with kay arneson of arneson’s resort who says they got a call about a quarter after eight uh last night from uh believed to be three men in a 19 to 21 foot boat who were taking on water arneson says they had terrible winds and swells uh up to seven feet last night uh those who were out on the lake uh looking for them said they had never seen the lake that bad i’m i’m told that uh this morning the coast guard out of duluth was supposed to be on the scene and begin the search uh arneson says it’s believed the uh three men who have not been seen yet are from iowa now at the time they called in artisan says it’s believed they were about six miles south of garden island headed back towards uh rocky point artisans resort again uh three men missing coast guard expected on the scene this morning to begin the search we’ll keep you updated i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
