Three Fishermen Sink into Frozen Waters of Northern Minnesota

UPPER RED LAKE, MN (trfnews.i234.me) We have a report of 3 fishermen falling through the ice on Upper Red Lake in Northern Minnesota Thursday evening.
Earlier this week and airplane fell through the ice and 35 fishermen had to be rescued when an ice sheet broke away from shore on Upper Red Lake.
we had another incident involving thin ice on upper Red Lake in northern Minnesota on Thursday evening this would be on the southern uh Southeast shore of upper Red Lake here’s some of the emergency traffic just before 8:00 p.m. on Thursday me black duck fire excuse me black duck ambulance kellier First Responders kellier fire for three fishermen that went through the ice they’re currently mapping to Jo Beach Road and sunny on the lake said that they went through they are not injured they just don’t know where they are this update now in from kellier fire department here’s a bit of their video uh this happened as we said just before 8 on Thursday night uh three fishermen left the lake after a day of fishing on their way back to the resort they started from they went the wrong direction and broke through the ice in a pressure Ridge two of the individuals had to self-rescue uh they were very lucky so please do not travel on the lake after dark uh that was from the kellier fire and rescue I’m Neil Berg reporting for I trfnews.i234.me

We had this happen years ago on red lake we didn't fall thru but we got turned around headed the wrong way and had to cross pressure ridges in bad spots not good be careful guys always have your self rescue equipment extra lights and I like to leave a trail on my phones GPS just in case darkness or fog
