Thief River Falls Man Charged with Felony After Threatening Deputy

THIEF RIVER FALLS, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – In Thief River Falls, Minnesota, 56-year-old Paul J. Warnke is facing a felony charge for allegedly threatening a Pennington County Deputy. On August 23rd, during an investigation, a deputy knocked on Warnke’s apartment door and announced his presence. Warnke responded with hostility, demanding a search warrant and declaring, “I’m going to shoot your ass.”

The deputy retreated and inquired whether Warnke was making a threat. Warnke initially denied it, but as the deputy left, he was heard threatening again, “I’m going to shoot you.” The incident led to Warnke being charged with felony terroristic threats.
