MINNESOTA (trfnews.i234.me) – The Minnesota Department of Health is urging eligible families in Minnesota to apply for the federal Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). Department spokeswoman Kate Franken highlighted that approximately 61,000 Minnesota families are not yet enrolled in the program. WIC food benefits include milk, cheese, yogurt, eggs, whole grains, cereal, peanut butter, beans, and more. Additionally, participants receive $26 to $52 monthly for purchasing fresh, frozen, or canned fruits and vegetables.
