Amy Marie Reierson, 45, of Thief River Falls, has been sentenced for felony drug possession and DWI charges following her February 3rd arrest. Reierson was found asleep in a parked, idling vehicle, where law enforcement discovered methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
For the felony charge of fifth-degree controlled substance possession, Reierson received a four-year stay of imposition, along with supervised probation. She was also sentenced to 30 days in jail for the DWI charge, which has been stayed for two years, contingent on her compliance with probation and drug court.
During the investigation, officers detected a strong odor of marijuana and observed signs of meth use. Reierson admitted to using both substances and possessing them in her vehicle. Officers also found two knives, a taser, and drug paraphernalia consistent with drug sales.
Reierson is required to complete a comprehensive assessment and follow through with all recommended treatment programs.
