Driving while impaired, no driver’s license, and open bottle

On Sept. 11 at 3:17 a.m., police performed a traffic stop near the intersection of Third Street and Horace Avenue. A 14-year-old Thief River Falls male has charges pending for DWI, no driver’s license, and an open bottle. He was released to a family member.

Violation of a protection order and warrant apprehension

On Sept. 3 at about 4:51 p.m., police received a request to remove a woman from a room at Americas Best Value Inn and Suites. Vernon Conred Huckabee, 48, Little Rock, Ark., has been charged with violation of a protection order. He was arrested. Jamie Marie Finney, 31, Fort Smith, Ark., was arrested on an Arkansas warrant for an alleged probation violation involving “dangerous drugs.” According to the complaint, Huckabee requested the removal of Finney, his girlfriend, from his room since they had been arguing. Huckabee was allegedly precluded from having contact with Finney due to a protection order. Finney allegedly said she had been staying with Huckabee since he had asked her to stay with him here. The complaint indicated that Huckabee also has a previous violation of a no-contact order out of Little Rock, Ark., from April 27.

Gross misdemeanor fifth-degree controlled substance crime

On Sept. 4 at 12:54 a.m., police received a report of a disturbance at 420 Davis Ave. Jared Charles Quimby, 51, Thief River Falls, has been charged with gross misdemeanor fifth-degree controlled substance crime. He was arrested. According to the complaint, the owner wanted Quimby removed for her safety. Upon arriving, police allegedly observed Quimby holding a pipe that contained white residue. He threw the pipe and later denied that it belonged to him. The pipe allegedly tested positive for methamphetamine.

Vehicle theft

On Sept. 4 at 11:48 a.m., police received a report of a vehicle theft at Falls Radiator. Someone had stolen a 2005 Ford F-150. The vehicle has a license plate of FEG-459.

Burglary

On Aug. 30 at 1:34 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a report of a burglary at 16194 Hwy. 1 N.W. Someone had stolen nine new carburetors for snowmobiles as well as control cables.

Theft

On Sept. 2 at 12:31 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a report of theft outside the Goodridge Municipal Liquor Store. Kristopher Jakob Kvick, 30, Goodridge, has been cited for theft. He allegedly stole the pins for a hitch on a motor vehicle.

Driving after cancellation – inimical to public safety

On Aug. 28 at 1:04 p.m., police performed a traffic stop near the intersection of Arnold Avenue and Eighth Street. Aaron Michael Misson, 48, Thief River Falls, has been charged with driving after cancellation – inimical to public safety. He was arrested.

Vandalism

On Aug. 28 at 8:31 p.m., police received a report of vandalism outside of 623 Dewey Ave. Someone had scratched both sides of a vehicle.

Theft

On Aug. 29 at 6:20 a.m., police received a report of internal theft at Walmart. Ashalon Rose Asmus, 24, Karlstad, has been cited for theft. Asmus allegedly stole merchandise.

On Aug. 29 at 6:47 a.m., police received a report of internal theft at Walmart. Dakota Lyne Johnson, 24, Thief River Falls, has been cited for theft. Johnson allegedly stole merchandise.

On Aug. 30 at 7:29 p.m., police received a report of a theft at Northland Village, 1516 Hwy. 1 E. Someone had stolen a cell phone that had been delivered to an apartment.

Second-degree DWI and expired motor vehicle registration

On Aug. 31 at 9:16 p.m., police performed a traffic stop in the 200 block of Pine Ave. Kyle Douglas Weber, 30, South St. Paul, has been charged with second-degree DWI and expired motor vehicle registration. He was arrested.

Accident

On Sept. 1 at 9:32 a.m., police received a report of an accident in the parking lot of Sanford Medical Center. At the time of the accident, Sandra K. Carlson of Thief River Falls was driving a 2007 Jeep into a parking spot. Her vehicle sideswiped a 2015 Nissan owned by Angel M. Sunsdahl of Oklee. Carlson then backed up and her vehicle hit a parked 2015 Chevy owned by Willard A. Sorter of Middle River. No injuries were reported.

Fifth-degree assault

On Sept. 3 at 9:16 p.m., police received a report of an assault at 606 Parnham St. E. Querionte Chris Williams, 31, Thief River Falls, has been cited for fifth-degree assault. He allegedly pushed a woman while she was holding her child.

Vandalism

On Sept. 5 at 12:48 p.m., police received a report of vandalism in the Ralph Engelstad Arena parking lot. Someone put sugar in the gas tank of a vehicle.

Theft

On Sept. 5 at 11:10 p.m., police received a report of a theft at the laundromat at 120 Fourth St. W. Someone had stolen clothes belonging to a man from San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Theft

On Sept. 6 at 9:15 a.m., police received a report of theft outside of Northland Community and Technical College. Someone had stolen numerous Milwaukee tools, batteries, and copper wire from trailers owned by Minnkota Power.

Scam

The sheriff’s office and police department have been receiving reports of scams. The scams include calls involving someone saying a grandchild is in jail or has been in a bad accident. The caller also requests that the recipient send money in gift cards. Individuals are reminded to not ever send money in these situations.

Burglary

On Sept. 7 at 11:58 a.m., police received a report of a burglary at Cedar Lodge. Someone had broken into an apartment, stealing a PlayStation, games, and medication.

Vandalism

On Sept. 7 at 5:46 p.m., police received a report of vandalism at Northland Village, 1508 Hwy. 1 E. Someone had spray-painted a door and walls of an apartment.

Property damage

On Sept. 8 at 7:08 p.m., police received a report of property damage outside of 134 Belleville Ct. It appeared that someone had backed into an electrical box.

Theft

On Sept. 8 at 8:39 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a report of theft near the intersection of 250th Avenue Northeast and 160th Street Northeast. Someone had cut a catalytic converter off of a vehicle while it was parked in a field.

Theft and trespassing

On Sept. 8 at 9:38 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a report of theft at 16916 170th Ave. N.E. Dustin Paul Turcotte, 39, St. Cloud, has charges pending for theft and trespassing. He was arrested. Turcotte was allegedly observed on a camera stealing from a job site.

On Sept. 9, police received a report of a theft at 524 Riverside Ave. Someone had stolen a kitchen table, a couple of batteries, and other items.

On Sept. 10 at 1:27 a.m., police performed a traffic stop in the 700 block of LaBree Ave. N. Eric Christian Dowers, 46, Thief River Falls, has been charged with DWI. He was arrested.

Disorderly conduct

On Sept. 10 at 6:11 p.m., police received multiple reports about people fighting at 1305 First St. W. Querionte Chris Williams, 31, Thief River Falls, has been cited for disorderly conduct. He was arrested. Williams allegedly instigated a fight with another man. The two of them then fought.

Theft

On Sept. 10 at 9:23 p.m., police received a report of a disturbance at Walmart. Aaron Izeon Jiguqn Ray and Elijah Emmanuel Williams, both 18 and from Thief River Falls, have been cited for theft. They allegedly took merchandise without scanning the items.
