Thief River Falls Man Charged with Possession of Child Pornography
Thief River Falls, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – In a disturbing case, 34-year-old Jaysen David Miller from Thief River Falls faces six felony counts of possessing explicit material involving minors under 14. The charges, filed on January 24, 2024, relate to offenses occurring in February 2023. A warrant has been issued for Miller’s arrest, raising questions about the delay in filing the complaint.
The allegations originated from a report by Florida authorities on February 14, 2023. Miller, then residing in Florida, was accused of uploading child pornography to the internet. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip about an explicit image uploaded to Miller’s Google account, depicting three prepubescent boys engaged in sexual activities.
Upon learning of Miller’s move to Quality Inn in Thief River Falls, Florida authorities forwarded the information to local law enforcement. The investigation revealed a call with Miller in the law enforcement system from September 29, 2022. Miller was staying at the C’Mon Inn in Thief River Falls.
A concerned individual reported communicating with Miller, who allegedly admitted to accessing child pornography on his phone and tablet. Subsequently, a warrant was issued to search Miller’s hotel room, resulting in the discovery of drug paraphernalia and the confiscation of electronic devices.
Miller now faces charges for possessing explicit material depicting minors engaged in various sexual activities. The complaint also outlines additional content involving inappropriate touching, oral, and anal sex, all involving boys under the age of 14, with one distressingly involving an infant.
This case highlights the collaborative efforts of law enforcement across states in tackling such heinous offenses.
