Thief River Falls, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – On March 5th at 12:18 p.m., authorities were summoned to the probation office regarding Christopher Marvin Pickens, 48, of Thief River Falls, who was charged with DWI involving a controlled substance. The citation was issued on April 30. Pickens purportedly drove to the Justice Center to provide a urine sample for his probation officer, who informed the police of a presumptive positive test for methamphetamine and amphetamine. Showing signs of impairment, Pickens failed field sobriety tests. Subsequently, a search warrant was obtained and executed for a urine sample. On April 26, a toxicology report from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension confirmed the presence of amphetamine and methamphetamine in the urine sample.
