You would think that this Devlyn Brooks being a man of God, hailing from the org "Churches United," might sway the conservative bloc into thinking somewhat more humanely about the current immigration issues facing this country, but no… the vast majority of them turned away from their God long ago. Oh, wellsies, all hail the man who builds monuments to his name as he shits on his solid gold toilet!
Another exaggeration .
Crossing the border used to be no big deal I guess. There’s a quaint restored Russian Orthodox church at Caribou in Kittson County. It was widely used back in those days, and less than a mile from the border. It’s in the boonies right where your line of arrows crosses into USA. Most of the parishioners walked across from Canada, but that was eventually stopped and the church became inactive. Still no checkpoint there. One of the ATV trails we used to ride was partially in Canada I guess. You could do a story on the church & keep your eyes open for elk & recent immigrants all at the same time. But they might be heading north these days? It would be an interesting contrast to your Texas trip.
What exactly about this is news, it’s a nice piece of family history… and yes, his family were initially criminals according to the law and perhaps some of their offspring. However, many years ago laws protecting the children of illegal immigrants were established. That may change. Here in North Dakota we have lots of very good migrant workers, worked with them for many years of my life. Some of the best people I’ve worked with no drugs no alcohol no court. Though on the other hand, there are multitudes of unsuccessful stories if you will. It is the law of the land you don’t just get to come here for freebies you have to be accepted. You have to be productive. Freeloaders and criminals and the offspring thereof will no longer be tolerated. That’s my opinion. I also ask you are you an opinion based outlet or a news outlet? Some descriptions or title changes might be in order. Not entirely sure how that works legally.

A few years ago Hitler gathered up the Jews from Church and Schools even friends turned them in , so yes it could happen here in America
