we have a look back at the largest heist in polk county history this is the fornay building in downtown crookston it’s now undergoing a major renovation project by developer jeff evers however since the building is torn apart it allowed another look at the scene of the crime this was mun’s jewelry store until it closed back in 2012. the year before in april of 2011 more than one hundred thousand dollars worth of jewelry was stolen from this location gold necklaces wedding rings diamond pennants and more burglars broke into the less secure four seasons clothing store next door and then knocked a hole in the wall to get into this building mun’s jewelry store at the time and walked out with as i said more than one hundred thousand dollars worth of jewelry and what really makes this case strange more than nine years later is that no one has ever been caught for the largest heist in polk county history i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
