Thanksgiving Shooting in Minnesota Leaves One Injured

BRECKENRIDGE, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — A man sustained serious injuries in a Thanksgiving shooting in Breckenridge, Minnesota. Breckenridge police responded to a residence on the 200 block of Third Street North at 2:27 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28.

The homeowner, 67-year-old Mark Danford, was unharmed, but Michael McCall, 25, suffered life-threatening gunshot wounds and was transported to a hospital. McCall, identified as a social studies teacher at Breckenridge High School, is expected to survive, according to the police report.

“There are no current threats to the public,” Breckenridge Police Chief Kris Karlgaard said. He described the event as isolated and stated that no arrests have been made. Details about the shooter and the circumstances leading to the incident remain undisclosed due to the active investigation.

Breckenridge is located approximately 45 miles south of Moorhead, Minnesota.
