Terrifying Crash in Wright County: Elderly Driver Loses Control and Slams Into Tree!

South Haven, Wright County (trfnews.i234.me) – On April 11, 2025, at 14:50, an alarming accident occurred when an 86-year-old driver, Ronald Eugene Simpson, lost control of his 2016 Subaru Forester while traveling westbound on Hwy 55 near Fairhaven Ave, South Haven. The vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a tree. The road was dry, and luckily, the airbag deployed in the Subaru, preventing more severe injuries. The driver was not wearing a helmet but was wearing a seatbelt, and alcohol was not involved. Despite the terrifying crash, Simpson’s injuries were non-life-threatening, and he was transported to Buffalo Hospital for further treatment.

Emergency responders, including Wright County, Allina Ambulance, and South Haven Fire, were promptly at the scene.
