EAU CLAIRE, WI (trfnews.i234.me) – The vice-presidential race is heating up as Republican J.D. Vance and Democrat Tim Walz exchanged sharp jabs during campaign events in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Vance took aim at a “weird” hashtag that Walz’s campaign used to label him and Donald Trump, dismissing it as the product of “24-year-old social media interns who were bullied in school.” Walz, however, stood by his characterization, stating, “I know bullies, and I’m not afraid to call them out. These guys are creepy and weird as hell.”
Vance, pushing back against the criticism, highlighted his family values, saying, “I’ve got my wife and three beautiful kids at home. If being called weird means wanting to live the American dream, then I’ll wear that as a badge of honor.”
The rhetoric escalated further as Vance challenged Walz on public safety, accusing him of encouraging rioters during the civil unrest in Minneapolis following George Floyd’s murder. Walz defended his stance, warning that Trump and Vance’s vision would roll back freedoms, particularly under “Project 2025.” Both candidates showed no signs of backing down, setting the stage for what could be an intense debate.
