Apple Valley, MN (trfnews.i234.me)An 18-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries after being shot in the face during a group altercation at Kelley Park in Apple Valley early Saturday morning. The incident occurred around 12:40 a.m. on May 10, 2025, in the 6800 block of Fortino Street.

Witnesses reported a physical fight among a group of young adults, which escalated to gunfire. Upon arrival, officers discovered shell casings in three separate areas near the park, indicating multiple shots were fired from different locations.

While investigating, police were informed that the injured teen had arrived at the Apple Valley Police Department seeking help. Officers provided emergency medical aid before paramedics transported him to a nearby hospital. Initially described as having life-threatening injuries, the victim underwent surgery and was later reported to be in stable condition.

The Apple Valley Police Department, in collaboration with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, is actively investigating the incident. No arrests have been made, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Apple Valley Police Department at 952-322-2323.
