White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt spoke on Monday, criticizing anti-ICE protests in Minneapolis and defending ICE. She said the ICE officer was justified in shooting and killing a “lunatic.”
Speaking the day after an ICE agent shot and killed a 37-year-old woman in Minneapolis, Vice President JD Vance defended the action, saying in part, “I can believe her death is a tragedy, while also recognizing that it’s a tragedy of her own making”
