SWAT Team Surrounds Jamestown Apartment After Shooting

JAMESTOWN, STUTSMAN COUNTY (trfnews.i234.me) — A Special Operations Team surrounded an apartment building in Jamestown early Friday morning as part of an investigation into a shots-fired incident downtown the night before.

Jamestown Police say officers and the James Valley Special Operations Team were on the scene at about 4:40 a.m., serving a search warrant at a Jamestown apartment complex. They were attempting to make contact with a suspect wanted for questioning in connection with the Thursday night shooting.

Authorities closed streets in the area, including Fourth Street Northwest to First Avenue Northwest and Third Street to Fifth Street Northwest. Police asked residents to avoid the area and remain patient during their morning commute.

Officials confirmed that no injuries were reported in the initial shots-fired incident on Thursday night. Details about the suspect or any potential charges have not yet been released.

Jamestown police say more information will be provided once the situation is resolved and the investigation moves forward. Residents are asked to remain cautious and follow official updates.
