CASS COUNTY, N.D. (👉 trfnews.i234.me) — A dramatic SWAT team standoff unfolded on June 14 when Landar Moore, wanted on seven separate warrants, barricaded himself inside an apartment before being captured hours later by the Red River Valley SWAT team.

Court records reveal Moore had warrants out of Clay County (robbery, check forgery), Fargo (marijuana possession), Ramsey and Benson Counties (probation violations), and Cass County (controlled substance and probation violation).

When approached by police, Moore fled into the apartment with two other men. The other individuals quickly exited, but Moore jumped out a window, only to re-enter the residence and barricade himself by kicking a hole into a basement storage area.

Officers issued commands for three hours, announced the use of a K9, and ultimately called in SWAT, who used flashbangs to subdue Moore, who was found hiding in a closet-like basement space.

Moore later told police he was there to buy marijuana and refused to surrender because he feared arrest. He also claimed to live in the basement, though he admitted to kicking in a door to access it.

Now in custody at Cass County Jail, Moore faces new charges including felony trespass, resisting arrest, and refusal to halt.
