FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – A tense standoff in Fargo ended early Sunday morning with the arrest of a 35-year-old man after he assaulted two individuals late Saturday night. The incident began at 11:21 p.m. when Fargo police were alerted to an assault at a home on Mon Carlo Drive. Both victims managed to escape before officers arrived, with one requiring medical attention while the other declined treatment.
The suspect, identified as Frankie Moran, remained inside the home and threatened to shoot any officers who entered. Residents in the neighborhood were advised to shelter in place as police attempted to negotiate with Moran. When he refused to comply with repeated orders to exit the home, the Red River Valley SWAT team was called in to assist. After negotiations failed, SWAT officers deployed a chemical irritant around 5:15 a.m., forcing Moran out of the home without further incident. He was taken into custody and is now facing two counts of aggravated assault. The investigation remains ongoing.
