SWAT Team Arrests Armed Suspect After Fargo Standoff

FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) We now have details regarding the arrest of a suspect in Fargo on Wednesday evening after SWAT was called to assist police.

The incident began around 4:22 p.m. when Fargo police responded to a domestic disturbance involving Bryant Matthews, a 36-year-old man with no permanent address. Matthews had barricaded himself in an apartment in the 1800 block of 2nd Avenue South and made threats to the apartment owner while reportedly possessing a gun.

Due to the severity of the situation, the Red River Valley SWAT team was called in to assist. After a tense standoff, Matthews was taken into custody at 7:57 p.m. He was arrested for felony criminal trespass and transported to the Cass County Jail. This is an ongoing investigation, and no additional information is available.
