FARGO, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) – A recent study published in the American Journal of Public Health indicates that the number of individuals carrying firearms in public in the United States has nearly doubled over a four-year period.
Mike Price, General Manager at Bill’s Gun Shop & Range in Fargo, reports that all his concealed carry classes have been at full capacity over the past four years. Price, who has 30 years of experience in the firearms industry, notes that while the majority of participants are men, there has been an increase in female attendees recently.
Price emphasizes the importance of proper training before carrying a firearm in public, stating that individuals should first master fundamental skills. His facility offers basic handgun familiarization courses to address this need. The concealed carry course spans six to eight hours and includes both written and shooting tests.
He advises that even those who own a firearm but do not intend to carry it should learn how to handle it safely. Additionally, Price recommends considering non-lethal means of protection.
