Sunday Update: Fire Engulfs Apartment Building in Argyle, Minnesota

ARGYLE, MN (trfnews.i234.me) We have an update regarding the latest information, following a fire that destroyed an apartment building in Argyle, Minnesota Saturday night.
Neil Berg here in Argyle Minnesota on a Sunday morning with an update on a massive fire that destroyed this apartment building here in Argyle last night now no one wanted to appear on camera on this cold Sunday morning but I was able to talk with the building’s owner in the Argyle fire chief who confirms everyone got out and no building residents or firefighters were injured but this apartment building and its contents are a total loss [Music] the fire department got the call around 4:45 p.m. Saturday the fire hall is located less than a block away from the fire driving to this last night I could see the smoke and flames from Warren which is 10 miles away brutal cold during the Saturday night firefight the temperature was 17 degrees below zero and they ran out of water the chief says crews from 11 different fire departments were hauling water to the scene as the massive fire quickly emptied argyles water tower the chief says as of this Sunday morning the cause of the blaze is unknown a State Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate now I also talked to the building’s owner Jamie Nelson who says there were 11 apartments in this building six of them were rented he’s not sure exactly how many people are affected but it’s clear whatever belongings they had in this building are now gone Nelson says it sounds like some type of benefit or fundraiser is being organized for the fire victims once that happens we’ll pass along that information later today in Argyle Minnesota I’m Neil Berg reporting for i-news TV
