Summer Heat and Economic Recovery Post-COVID in Minnesota’s Lake Region

BEMIDJI, MN (trfnews.i234.me) Our hot weather is driving thousands to Minnesota lake country and starting to fuel an economic rebound from the COVID Summer of 2020.
paul bunyan’s arm has been repaired following a bit of vandalism last month and babe the blue ox is standing by to welcome in another tourist season along lake bemidji the heat the weekend and the easing of covet has streets jumping here and the economy beginning to rock again in bemidji and across minnesota following our covid summer of 2020. absolutely neil and thank you for the shout out you gave to me about this time last year when walmart was to elbows and we were shut down i still have people from the valley coming in wanting to find out that gentleman that said that that interview with you but so far we’ve had two uh caravans starting here in bemidji and itasca state park going all the way down to new orleans so we’ve given two tours we had 50 american gentlemen and women come in on memorial weekend they had a wonderful tour here we are in the factory of bemidji woolen mills um doing all kinds of wonderful things so anyway even even the mindset is maybe better for the bars restaurants and see a lot of cars downtown here last night i was on the north end of town and i drove by slim’s barn grill parking lot was jam-packed and there were cars on both sides of the road and i said everybody loved slims bar and grill in bemidji and they were making some money last night it’s been a long time and they deserve it and at this point with the summer heat driving thousands to lake country across the state it’s a good bet that all those bars restaurants and resorts that took a hit last summer will see an economic spike this summer season in bemidji i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
