FARGO, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) – On Monday, November 11, at 5:46 p.m., Fargo police officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 1700 block of 14th Street South. The victim’s husband located the vehicle nearby and informed officers that he observed a man exiting it. He provided a description of the individual and the direction in which he fled.
Officers identified the suspect as Orlando Harris, a 40-year-old Fargo resident. Officer Duggan detained Harris, who consented to a search. Before the search, Harris disclosed he had a “sword” in his left waistband and methamphetamine in his possession. The search revealed a 12-inch knife and drug paraphernalia.
Harris provided inconsistent statements regarding the stolen vehicle. Officers determined there was probable cause for his arrest. He was charged with Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2nd offense).
At the Cass County Jail, officers also discovered Harris had an active U.S. Marshals warrant for probation revocation tied to a previous robbery conviction. Harris’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for December 19.
