Steven M. Robinson – Obituary

Steven M. Robinson, age 54, resident of Fargo, ND, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024.

Steven Matthew Robinson was born May 1, 1969 in Grand Forks, ND, the youngest son of Maurice and Mary Lou (Anderson) Robinson. He grew up in Michigan, ND and graduated from Michigan High School in 1987, where he participated in football, basketball, golf, and band. He went on to college at the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND, where he played on the basketball team for a year before transferring to Moorhead State University in Moorhead, MN. He graduated with a degree in Social Studies from MSU.  Steve remained in the Fargo-Moorhead area his whole career. Since 2012, he was a dedicated employee at Caterpillar as a shop technician. Prior to CAT, he worked for Great Plains Towers setting up cell towers throughout ND. He was hard-working and took pride in his work. Steve was a quiet person with a sense of humor, and he had great short stories he shared from his cell tower adventures in western ND. He enjoyed riding bike, camping at state parks, following sports, and an avid reader of anything history related. Steve also liked to take drives through the countryside and would often take Mom and Dad, and others on rides to check out local landmarks in the Michigan and surrounding area.

Steve is survived by his 5 brothers, Tom of Michigan, ND, Bill (Peggy) of Mandan, ND, Maury (Robae) of Anchorage, AK, Dan of Englewood, CO, and John (Bobbie) of Palmer, AK; his 3 sisters, Sarah of Fargo, ND, Liz (Steve) of Fayetteville, AR, and Emily of Parker, CO; 16 nieces and nephews, Bob, Amy & Charlie, Taylor & Ansley, Jessica & Alise, Reece & Ramey, Jessica & Joshua, and Jhacie, Jake, Wyatt, Aries, & Brooks; great nieces & nephews; and several cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Mary Lou Robinson; and brother, Bob Robinson.

A Graveside Service will be held at the Michigan Cemetery, Michigan, ND, on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow the service at St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church in Michigan, ND. The Aaker Funeral Home of Lakota, ND
