Steele County (trfnews.i234.me) — A burglary suspect who fled overnight through rural North Dakota is now in custody, according to breaking updates near Hope, ND.

At approximately 11:00 a.m., a flurry of law enforcement activity was reported about 7 miles southwest of Hope, where the suspect was last seen. A photo released by the Barnes County Sheriff’s Department aided in identifying the individual, reportedly wanted for theft and/or burglary.

The incident began in the middle of the night, with temperatures hovering around 42°F, and the suspect believed to have been hiding in a barn at a local farmstead.

By 11:12 a.m., confirmation came in that the suspect had been apprehended. While specific arrest details remain limited, law enforcement from multiple counties had converged on the scene.
