Statewide Age Verification Law Leads Adult Sites to Block Access in North Dakota | trfnews.i234.me

North Dakota ( trfnews.i234.me ) – Access to several major adult websites has been disabled in parts of North Dakota following the implementation of a new state-mandated age verification law.

According to statements from affected platforms, the law requires users to provide government-issued identification to verify their age before viewing adult content. The companies argue this approach not only poses a privacy risk but also fails to enforce compliance across all adult websites uniformly.

Platform representatives say that without universal enforcement, users may turn to less regulated sites with weaker safety measures. They also argue that device-based verification — identifying users by their device rather than requiring ID uploads — would provide a safer and more private solution.

“Until a real solution is offered, we’ve made the difficult decision to disable access to our website in North Dakota completely,” the statement said, urging users to contact their state representatives to advocate for device-based verification methods.
