ST. CLOUD, Minn. (trfnews.i234.me) – A Stearns County judge sentenced Terrell Fields, 47, of St. Cloud, to 23 years in prison for promoting prostitution. Fields will receive credit for the 274 days he spent in county jail.
Fields pleaded guilty in September to one count of promoting prostitution. Twenty-three other charges were dismissed as part of the sentencing. Authorities began investigating Fields in November 2023, led by the Central Minnesota Human Trafficking Task Force.
According to the criminal complaint, Fields trafficked as many as five women, including a pregnant woman with whom he was in a relationship. He operated from an apartment on West St. Germain Street and transported victims to other locations, including the Twin Cities.
This was not Fields’ first conviction. In 2016, he was sentenced to 14 years for sex trafficking but was released in January 2022.
