STEARNS COUNTY, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A Minnesota man wanted in connection with a fatal RV fire in Dallas has been arrested along Interstate 94 in Stearns County.
Authorities say 30-year-old Lamont Richardson of St. Cloud was taken into custody Friday near Sauk Centre by the U.S. Marshals Service. He was booked into the Stearns County Jail on an arson charge.
The arrest stems from an investigation into a deadly blaze that occurred on October 19th outside a residence in Dallas, Texas. The fire claimed the life of 68-year-old Leslie McBride, who was found inside the RV.
Dallas fire investigators determined the blaze was intentionally set. However, officials have not released any information about a possible motive or the events leading up to the fire.
Richardson is expected to face extradition proceedings to Texas as the investigation continues.
