Solway: Assault, Car Theft Charges in Bemidji

BEMIDJI (trfnews.i234.me) — A Solway, Minnesota woman is facing theft and assault charges in Bemidji.

Tracey Ann Strandlien, of Solway, is charged in Beltrami County District Court.

She faces one count of felony theft.

She also faces one count of misdemeanor domestic assault.

What court documents allege

According to court documents, police were called to a Bemidji apartment on December 26.

The call time was about 1:27 p.m., the complaint says.

An adult female family member reported she was assaulted inside the apartment.

The victim said Strandlien struck her in the face.

The victim said a recliner was tipped over with her in it.

The victim said she was kicked in the side while on the floor.

Alleged car theft

The victim told investigators that Strandlien took her keys, the complaint says.

The victim said Strandlien then took her vehicle.

Court documents say Strandlien left the scene with the car.

Officers later located Strandlien a short time later, according to the complaint.

She was arrested, the documents say.

The charges are accusations.

Strandlien is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
