MINNEAPOLIS, MN (trfnews.i234.me) The Minneapolis City Council has approved a plan to have social workers help police with calls involving mental health and addiction issues. Social workers would be called in by police to find help for people in those types of calls.
Social Workers To Join Forces With Police In Minneapolis, Is This A Good Plan For Our Region?

The stupidest thing that I have ever heard of. What they need is more cops and criminal accountability, with judges and prosecutors with some stones.
One per precinct? Thank goodness there are only a dozen or so calls with mental health or drug issues per shift.
This is happening in many parts of the country. The dispatchers and 911 operators are the key to this. They have to determine who is needed on the call
This is so dope ❤️🔥
May work in certain situations. Send relationship counselors along to domestic abuse calls. Send drug counselors along to drug-related calls. Send financial advisors along to robberies. Send driving instructors along to high speed chases. Watch crime plummet. /s
