SNOWY ROADS CAUSE CRASH IN BLUE EARTH COUNTY – THREE PEOPLE HOSPITALIZED!

Blue Earth County (trfnews.i234.me) was the site of a two-vehicle crash Tuesday night after snowy and icy road conditions caused two southbound vehicles to collide on Highway 22.

The crash happened on March 4, 2025, at 10:13 PM, at the intersection of North Victory Drive and Highway 22 in Mankato.

Crash Details & Emergency Response

Authorities report that a 2012 Ford Fusion and a 2017 Kia Sorento were both traveling southbound when they collided on the icy highway.

Emergency responders, including the Mankato Police Department, Mankato Fire Department, Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office, and Mayo Ambulance, arrived at the scene to assist.

Injuries & Hospitalization

All three individuals involved were transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato with non-life-threatening injuries:

  • Laurie Lee Bush (56), driver of the Ford Fusion, from Albert Lea, MN
  • Leonard John Bush (58), passenger in the Ford Fusion, from Fairmont, MN
  • Tammy Lynn Johnson (59), driver of the Kia Sorento, from Mankato, MN

Authorities confirmed that all occupants were wearing seat belts and alcohol was not a factor.
