Snowmobile Rider Submerges in Icy Waters near Baudette, Minnesota

BAUDETTE, MN (trfnews.i234.me) A snowmobiler escaped injury after falling through the ice on a trail near Baudette, Minnesota last weekend.
a snowmobiler took an icy dip while riding on that trail in koochiching County on Saturday a 911 call was received by Lake of the Woods County Sheriff’s Office at 552 p.m. on February 1st reporting a snowmobile that had gone through the ice according to Sheriff Gary Fish and rashmi z23 was traveling on the John Bekele northern Connection snowmobile trail on a 2006 RTK when he broke through the ice on a beaver pond along the trail about 25 miles out of Baudette no injuries were reported in the incident the sheriff’s office in Lake of the Woods ambulance and Baudette rescue squads responded to the scene last Thursday the Lake of the Woods drifter snowmobile club who are responsible for grooming the trail posted a warning on their Facebook page that the John Bekele northern connection trail was not yet safe for travel along with photos showing poor conditions of the trail snowmobilers are advised to check out conditions before venturing out onto trails I’m Neil Berg reporting for page one publications calm
