Shots Fired! High-Speed Chase in Polk County Ends with Suspect Wounded

Polk County (trfnews.i234.me)—​In a dramatic turn of events, a high-speed chase spanning multiple counties culminated approximately five miles west of Crookston on KT Road. The pursuit, which involved several law enforcement agencies and a U.S. Border Patrol helicopter, ended with shots fired and the suspect sustaining a gunshot wound to the thigh.

The chase began in northern Minnesota, with reports indicating the suspect’s vehicle speeding through Warren before heading south through Crookston. In an attempt to halt the vehicle, officers deployed stop sticks near Crookston, which the suspect managed to evade. The pursuit continued onto KT Road, a route connecting Crookston and Thompson.

Radio communications suggested that the suspect might have been attempting to cross the border illegally, prompting the involvement of a Border Patrol helicopter to assist in the chase. The pursuit concluded on KT Road, where shots were fired, resulting in the suspect being wounded in the thigh. An ambulance was observed transporting the individual from the scene.
