CROOKSTON, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – An investigation is underway following an early Thursday morning shooting in Crookston, MN. Just before 1:00 a.m., law enforcement responded to reports of a shooting incident. Initial radio traffic suggested that the suspect might have been armed with a hatchet at some point.
Shortly thereafter, shots were fired near the government center, up the hill from Domino’s Pizza. Emergency responders, including the fire department and Crookston ambulance, arrived at the scene and found an individual with a gunshot wound. This person was transported to the emergency room at RiverView Health in Crookston, where their condition appeared serious according to radio communications.
Officers on the scene indicated that there might have been another person involved who fled the area before the shooting occurred. Employees at Domino’s reported that they were unaware of the incident and did not hear any gunshots.
Law enforcement remains on the scene, and we are still awaiting official details about what transpired and the identities of those involved. We will provide updates as soon as new information becomes available.
