NICOLLET COUNTY (trfnews.i234.me) – A dramatic single-vehicle crash occurred Monday morning, June 16th, in Belgrade Township, leaving a 34-year-old Blaine man injured after his 2022 GMC Sierra lost control on wet pavement.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the GMC was heading southbound on Highway 169 near Milepost 57 when the driver, Michael Glen Morris, lost control, sending the vehicle careening into the ditch. Conditions were reported as wet at the time of the incident.
Morris was transported to MCHS Mankato with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities confirmed he was wearing a seat belt, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
Emergency crews from Nicollet County and Mayo Ambulance responded swiftly to the scene. No other vehicles were involved.
The investigation is ongoing as troopers continue reviewing the incident and road conditions leading up to the crash.
