SHOCKING VANDALISM: Veteran Statue ‘Handsome Jean’ Stolen, Then RECOVERED In Isanti County! | trfnews.i234.me

Stanchfield, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) — A heartbreaking and infuriating act out of Isanti County shook the tight-knit town of Stanchfield this Independence Day when a cherished veteran statue was vandalized and stolen—and now, thankfully, recovered.

The statue, affectionately known as “Handsome Jean,” stood proudly in front of the Rush Point Store, representing honor, service, and freedom. Gifted by the former store owner’s father, Jean—a man remembered for his joy, strength, and deep love—this statue served as a symbol of personal memory and national pride.

But in a shocking act of disrespect, a group of boys was seen slapping, punching, and harassing the statue before hauling it away on the Fourth of July.

“How do you steal a tribute to freedom on the day we celebrate it?” the store owner asked, heartbroken.

Thankfully, as confirmed by the store, Handsome Jean has been found. The Isanti County Sheriff’s Department is investigating, and updates on charges are expected soon.
