GRAFTON, North Dakota (trfnews.i234.me) – A local man is facing a felony criminal mischief charge after causing nearly $20,000 in damages to a church in Grafton.

Caspen Blue Blackcloud is accused of throwing large rocks through the windows of the Grafton Federated Church at 702 Griggs Avenue. Surveillance video from a nearby bank captured the crime, which occurred around June 6. A warrant was later issued, and Blackcloud was arrested on July 3.

According to court documents, Blackcloud admitted to his probation officer that he was responsible for the vandalism. The church reported the total damage at $19,324.

Blackcloud is scheduled to appear in court on July 9 in Walsh County.
