Grand Forks County (trfnews.i234.me) — A disturbing incident in the skies above America is now headed to federal court.
Jodie Lynn Sherry Berg of Bemidji is accused of grabbing the crotch of a flight attendant during a commercial flight from Las Vegas to Grand Forks on January 16th. That evening, authorities say she also provided false information to law enforcement, initially landing her in jail. Although that state charge was dismissed, a new federal case has now been filed.
According to the federal criminal complaint, Berg “did knowingly interfere” with the duties of a flight crew member by assaulting and intimidating them. Specifically, the charge states she grabbed the attendant’s genitals, impairing their ability to perform their job.
Berg is now scheduled for arraignment in federal court on April 21st.
