GRAND FORKS (trfnews.i234.me) – A routine daycare pickup turned into a shocking arrest when Meleesa-Maree Areizaga arrived at a Grand Forks daycare on March 11, 2025, displaying extreme signs of intoxication while holding her child!
At 5:26 p.m., multiple 911 calls flooded dispatch as witnesses reported her erratic driving in the parking lot. When officers arrived, they observed:
Swaying while holding her child
Slurred speech and difficulty walking
Refusal to take a field sobriety test
Active resistance against arrest
As officers attempted to detain her, she fought back—resulting in police deploying a taser to subdue her!
CHARGES FILED
Guilty Plea to:
- DUI (Misdemeanor)
- Resisting Arrest (Misdemeanor)
Still Faces Felony Charge:
- Child Neglect (Felony)
