GRAND FORKS (trfnews.i234.me) – A routine daycare pickup turned into a shocking arrest when Meleesa-Maree Areizaga arrived at a Grand Forks daycare on March 11, 2025, displaying extreme signs of intoxication while holding her child!

At 5:26 p.m., multiple 911 calls flooded dispatch as witnesses reported her erratic driving in the parking lot. When officers arrived, they observed:

🚨 Swaying while holding her child
🚨 Slurred speech and difficulty walking
🚨 Refusal to take a field sobriety test
🚨 Active resistance against arrest

As officers attempted to detain her, she fought back—resulting in police deploying a taser to subdue her!

CHARGES FILED

✅ Guilty Plea to:

  • DUI (Misdemeanor)
  • Resisting Arrest (Misdemeanor)
