MANDAN, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) – A 16-year-old is facing several charges after attempting to gain babysitting jobs through Facebook groups like “Babysitting Jobs for Ages 13-18,” “Babysitting Group,” and “Babysitter Needed.” This shocking discovery has left the community in disbelief.
According to court documents, this teen was found with hundreds of photos/videos depicting young children across multiple devices, allegedly distributing child sex abuse material via Gmail, including images he created of a 6-year-old girl. His search history reportedly contained multiple questions about grooming and possession of a directory labeled “training” containing 15 videos related to how to groom female children into performing sexual acts and avoid getting caught.
The teen is charged with:
- 2 counts of promoting or directing an obscene sexual performance by a minor
- 5 counts of possession of certain materials prohibited
- Sexual assault
His first court appearance was on July 1st, where bond was set at $50. A jury trial is scheduled to begin on October 22nd.
