Lake View Township, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — On Friday, May 9, 2025, at approximately 10:43 a.m., a two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 59 and Becker County Road 17 in Lake View Township, Becker County. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2006 Chevrolet Impala, driven by 28-year-old Rhianna Marie Hayes of New York Mills, was traveling northbound on Highway 59 when it collided with a 2014 Toyota Prius, driven by 43-year-old Nathan Rich Dietrich of Gaylord, which was eastbound on Becker County Road 17.

Hayes and her passenger, 32-year-old Ethan Jon Smith of Pelican Rapids, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment. Dietrich was uninjured in the crash. Airbags deployed in both vehicles, and alcohol was not a factor in the incident. The road conditions were dry at the time of the collision. Emergency responders from the Becker County Sheriff’s Office and Essentia Ambulance assisted at the scene.
