Todd County (trfnews.i234.me)βIn a shocking collision on March 30, 2025, a Dodge Ram and a Dodge Caliber collided at the intersection of Highway 71 and Highway 210 in Todd County, leading to one non-life-threatening injury.
According to the incident report, the Dodge Caliber, driven by Emma Faith Reeder, 20, of Brainerd, MN, was traveling westbound on Highway 210 when it collided with a Dodge Ram, driven by Patrick Thomas Hegarty, 59, of Staples, MN, who was heading southbound on Highway 71.
The Dodge Ram did not deploy airbags, and its driver, Hegarty, fortunately sustained no injuries. He was wearing a seat belt, and alcohol was not involved in the crash.
On the other hand, the Dodge Caliber driver, Reeder, had her airbags deploy and was transported with non-life-threatening injuries to Astera Health Hospital. She was also wearing a seat belt, and alcohol was not a factor in the incident. Thankfully, Reeder’s injuries were not severe, but this crash serves as a reminder of the risks at busy intersections.
Road conditions at the time of the crash were dry, and the collision occurred at a high-traffic area. The incident was reported to involve Todd County Sheriff’s Office and Hewitt Fire Department, who responded to the scene promptly.
