Serious Motorcycle-SUV Crash in Fargo: Motorcyclist Hospitalized with Injuries

FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol has provided an update on a serious motorcycle-SUV crash that occurred Sunday night at 9:33 p.m. near the southwest corner of West Acres, at the intersection of 42nd Street and 17th Avenue South in Fargo.

The crash involved a 37-year-old Fargo man riding a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle and a Saturn SUV driven by a 17-year-old juvenile from Fargo. The SUV was southbound on 42nd Street and turning left onto 17th Avenue when the motorcycle, which was traveling northbound, collided with the rear side of the vehicle.

The motorcyclist sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was treated on the scene before being transported to Sanford Medical Center by ambulance. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, which likely helped mitigate the severity of his injuries.

Both the driver of the SUV and a juvenile passenger, also from Fargo, were uninjured in the crash, with both wearing seat belts at the time of the incident. Their names will not be released due to their age.
