Serious Crash on I-94 in Maplewood Sends 19-Year-Old to Hospital with Life-Threatening Injuries

Maplewood, Minnesota – A single-vehicle crash on Interstate 94 at McKnight Road in Maplewood, Ramsey County left a 19-year-old driver with life-threatening injuries on the night of February 16, 2025.

Accident Details:

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2017 Infiniti Q50, driven by Alexis Morales, 19, of Lake Elmo, MN, entered eastbound I-94 from McKnight Road but immediately crossed all lanes of traffic before striking the median barrier. The vehicle then rebounded across all lanes of traffic again, crashing into the guardrail on the right-hand shoulder.
