South Fork Township, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) — A semi-truck crash occurred early Saturday morning at 5:44 AM on Highway 23 near Cable Street in Kanabec County. The 1996 Peterbilt 379 semi-truck, traveling eastbound, veered off the road, colliding with a utility box and trees.
Emergency responders from Ogilvie Fire, Kanabec County Sheriff’s Office, and North Air Care were dispatched to the scene. The driver, identified as 48-year-old Reggie Vern Malikowski, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to North Memorial Hospital for medical treatment.
Authorities have confirmed that the driver was wearing a seat belt, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash. The road conditions were dry at the time of the accident.
The Minnesota State Patrol has marked the investigation as complete, with no additional updates expected at this time.
